There are 39 branch accounts office under the Principal Controller of Accounts (Fys), Organization. These accounts offices are attached to 39 Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories. They are divided into 9 groups based on their geographic locations all over India. [Show Organization List]
 
The Accounts Office attached to Ordnance Factory, Dehu Road, Pune has been awarded ISO  9002 : 1994 certification with effect from 18th June 1997. This constitutes an important milestone in the long history of the department as this is the first accounts organization in the Central Government to have obtained ISO  9002 : 1994 certification

 
 
 

 

Functions of Factory Accounts Offices

The Factory Accounts Offices are responsible for making payments, maintaining Financial and Cost

Accounts and render financial advice to the General Managers of Ordnance Factories.

Duties of Factory Accounts Offices

 

1 To make payment of all claims of Industrial Employees.
2 To make payment of claims of contractors and for all matters connected with the provisioning, purchase, utilization and disposal of materials.
3 To maintain Cost Accounts including accounting of Capital Assets.
4 To scrutinize Administrative Approvals, work connected with recovery of License Fees, leases and contracts.
5 To make payment of Bills, for advances on account of TA/LTC, of all categories of employees and Contingent Bills.
6

To make preliminary scrutiny of Pay Bills of Gazetted Officers/NIEs/NGOs and issue of  cheques.
